Holiday 2021 Travel Favorites
The fall is my favorite time for a beach vacation — if you’re south of Virginia it’s still warm enough for a beach walk and cool enough to spend the entire day in front of the ocean with a good book. This year I spent two weeks in the Outer Banks , NC and Wilmington, NC. Earlier in the year I spent a month in Arizona and then two weeks in the mountains (see Summer 2021 below). Growing up with divorced parents and packing every other weekend, traveling for work, and longer trips for pleasure (thank you remote working!) have made me an expert packer. As you prepare for Thanksgiving and Christmas, here are my favorite things for traveling.
Emergency Snacks and Emergency Candy

Speaking of emergency candy, my go-to for sugar-free snacks are ChocZero and Smart Sweets. I like the Smart Sweets variety pack and I LOVE the ChocZero peanut butter cups and keto bark. For salty snacks, I fill a baggie of Extra Toasty Cheez-its and keep the box in the trunk 😝
