I prefer Summer weather, but Spring is my favorite season just because it’s the end of winter. We emerge from a cocoon of blacks, browns and plaids to discover a world of pastels, whites, and florals. We kick up the dust during our spring cleaning and find that our closets need…. more.

Use an accessory to try a trend if you’re unsure if it’s for you.
Two of the top trends I keep reading about this year are mustard yellow and neon. That’s a no and a no from me, dawg. These are things I either don’t like or don’t look good on me. Don’t buy items just because they’re trendy, perhaps especially because they’re trendy because you won’t get much use out of them. If you‘ve been waiting since 1983 to rock neon again, go for it. If you’re unsure or want a reason to get out of your comfort zone, try it as an accessory. Here are some I like:
- OPI No Turning Back from Pink Street (a neon pink) nail polish, $7.88
- Neon Drawstring Flap-Top Backpack from Forever 21, $27.90
- Neon Pink Tassel Clutch Bag from ASOS, $19.00
- Neon Gold Sunglasses, Kim Kardashian Collection from Caroline Lemke, $90.00
- Yellow Classic Top-Handle Handbag from Amazon, $28.99
- Mustard Yellow Scalloped Espadrille from Torrid, $39.67
